Around 40 families in the Udadumbara Talagune area are engaged in Dumbara weaving, commonly known as “Kapukalawa,” using cotton materials. Additionally, approximately 120 families in Kalasirigrama, under the Kundasale Divisional Secretariat of Kandy District, are involved in Dumbara weaving as a cottage industry. They display creativity using hemp, cotton threads, and bamboo.
